Adding to the shopping experience will be a refreshed façade, improved parking lot, and updated signage. Trades on the project include demolition, concrete, masonry, storefront, carpentry, interior and exterior finishes, and MEP work.

]]>Due to the constraints of a tight site adjacent to a major highway, logistics planning was a key to success. This included coordinating a 30,000-gallon cast-in-place water storage tank, crane placement, on-site plant management, storage, scaffolding, and materials handling. Preplanning and coordination allowed us to maintain a schedule, reduce the risk of added costs, provide a safe site environment for all, and ensure neighbors did not experience unnecessary disruptions.
The new Public Storage facility in Long Island City features an office/retail area, display space, and over 1,000 individual storage units. Its grand opening was held in September 2024.

]]>The Brooklyn CVC serves East New York, an area with limited existing resources for veterinary care, and is similar to the ASPCA facility in the Bronx. Before the construction of the Brooklyn CVC was complete, the ASPCA was operating a mobile clinic in the parking lot to help pet owners affected by the pandemic.
The now permanent, state-of-the-art facility offers partially and fully subsidized veterinary care to Brooklyn residents, including high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) surgeries and vaccinations for homeless dogs and cats being cared for by animal rescue organizations, including Animal Care Centers of New York City.

]]>Construction on Walt Whitman Shops was a large-scale project. The project consisted of a 100,000-square-foot expansion of the mall, including tenant reconfiguration within the existing mall and the structural reinforcement of existing mall structure to accommodate the expansion. Site/parking improvements included reconfigured parking, new lighting, new landscaping, and additional parking. The project was completed without disrupting normal business operations.
The expansion provided street-facing retail frontages, offering shoppers the welcoming experience of a quiet downtown stroll rather than the experience of navigating a crowded mall.
A new central plaza is marked by distinctive landscaping, and a new streetscape, including a statue of Whitman himself.
The parking was reconfigured, and spots were added to handle the increased number of visitors.
